Long time, no see!

Hold up, wait wait a minute!

It's been a while since I've posted on here! A Levels seem to have taken over! Summer exams are super soon so this may have not been a good time to start blogging again...

I have a couple of ideas for some new blog posts so hopefully they should be up soon.

Make Up Haul!

Wow it's been a while since I made a post! I've been meaning to make a post about my new makeup purchases!

My brother and his girlfriend got me a £100 gift voucher for Harvey Nicholas and I decided to buy some Mac Cosmetics.
I purchased a Pro Colour x4 Compact and a Pressed Pigment in Sweet Acting.
The compact was customised for me by one of the makeup artist. It contains a range of purples including a dark glitter purple. The colours when used together create a perfect smoky eye which is a look I am fond of. The pressed pigment was an added extra. When I purchased these items, the makeup artist did a tutorial on me to show me how to apply the eyeshadows and she used the pressed pigment at the very end to give it an extra sparkle. These were quite expensive but I didn't expect anything less from Mac. The eyeshadows are quite pigmented, can be easily blended and work well together.

These are my Real Techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman. I bought a Real Techniques eye starter kit and a Real Techniques core collection. I watch makeup videos on YouTube and my favourite makeup artists are Pixiwoo! One of the members of Pixiwoo created these brushes so I thought I would get them to try them out.

 I love these brushes!

From the core collection my favourite brush has to be the Buffing Brush. I use it when I put on my foundation and it helps the foundation give a good coverage and blends it in really well. From the eye starter kit my favourite brush is the deluxe crease brush. It's big, soft and is a great blender! I use it to blend and soften my eyeshadow in the sockets. Plus the cases are stands which are perfect to use when I'm applying my makeup and they are perfect for travelling.

Ayia Napaaa!

I went to Cyprus in Septempter as a present for doing well in my GCSE's with my sister, her boyfriend and my sisters friend. We stayed in Ayia Thelka in our own private villa and it was beautiful! Ayia Napa was a 10 minute drive down the road so we aren't far away from the nightlife!

One of my favourite places there is a Nissi Beach. The beach itself was beautiful and there were loads of cute little bars. There was one bar called the Senior Frog's and they played a game were they had to hit each other with foam batons and they ganged up one team and everyone threw water balloons at them. Obviously it had a sea but it wasn't that deep (which is good as I can't swim very well!) but it had a separate little hill made out of rocks that we climbed.

I got to experience the Ayia Napa nightlife and that was amazing. Everything was just so wild! There was a nightclub that was called Black n White and they played pure RnB, I was there every night! I also got told I looked 24 by someone which was a bonus! It was definitely one of the best holidays that I have been on and I recommend it to anyone! I definitely want to go back again!

Standard shopping trip!

On Saturday, my brother took me to Meadowhall in Sheffield to do some Christmas shopping!

I haven’t been to Meadowhall that much but I love it because it is so big and it has such a huge variety of shops. Whenever I go shopping, I like to have in my mind what I want/need so I know what I’m doing otherwise I just annoy my brother by looking around everywhere and don't buy anything!

I have a few events coming up so I knew I needed some new heels to go out in, a new bag for school since mine ripped and some new tops for school.

I've always wanted a pair of these coloured shoes. I love the colour of them and when I saw that they were in my size and they were the right sort of style that I wanted, I had to get them. I tried them on and I could walk in them fine and they weren't too high which is a good thing because I’m not that short but I’m not that tall so they won’t make me look like a giant.

At first, I wasn’t too sure about these because of the heel. When it comes to heels, I usually go for thicker heels rather than a thinner one, only because I’m scared that I won’t be able to walk in them. I tried them on and walked around and I was really comfortable in them! I liked the colour black in them as they would easily go with any outfit.

I also bought a Firetrap Messenger bag and a blue top from Warehouse.

Ted, Ted, Ted!

Ted Baker has to be one of my all time favourite shops!

I love the style of clothing that they do because I like wearing business-like clothes such as shirts, blazers, tailored trousers etc. I own quite a few items from there but I would love much more.
1.    My prom dress was from Ted Baker. I love this dress because the top half is so bright and colourful and the bottom half is just plain black. It’s quite simple but because of the colours and the small details it has, it stands out. I love the detail of the buttons on the back of the dress. By just having some buttons down the middle of the dress, it makes it classier but still keeps it simple. I also love the price of it too! Because it’s Ted Baker, the majority of the items from there are quite expensive but I think £75.00 is a reasonable price for this.

2.    I have about 3 wash bags that I got as Christmas and birthday presents but this one is my favourite. Again, it is simple but I like it. I love the pink bow! The bow is a very simple design but it makes the bag what it is. It is also very big inside and again I love the small detail on the zip.

Just had a browse at Ted Baker’s blog and I’ve fallen in love with this bag. It was from September so I don’t think it is still available but I would love a bag like this. I love the colour because it is quite odd and not something I would usually go for. It is a vintage looking bag and this is the type that I like.

Wishlist

1.

                                                  Clinique Make Up:
My sister uses Clinique and the quality of their makeup is really good. My mum suggested that I should get some of their foundation. I started off with their tinted moisturiser which isn't as thick and heavy as the normal foundation. It didn't clog up my skin and it gave me a great coverage. However, now I use the super balance foundation which still isnt as thick and heavy as other well known foundations that I have used. I was hooked. I started to use the whole skin care collection such as the toners, daily face wash, moisturiser and the clarifying lotions. I really enjoy using these products because they are of a good quality however, these products are quite expensive so I do try to use as little as possible.

Anfield:
It didn't take long for me to include some football in my posts! I support Liverpool FC. Liverpool is quite far from Leeds so getting to games isn't easy. My brother always doubts going to a game in case we lose and he'll be in bad mood. My sister and her boyfriend took me to the stadium for a tour and I loved it! Our tour got cancelled because the players had to train inside the stadium because the pitches at the training ground had frozen over. Because of this, we were able to hold the Official Champions League Trophy that they won in 2005! After they left we were able to have the tour and it was better than I expected.

Tattoo:

Tattoos have always interested me. I have always liked the look of some tattoos but I never really liked the idea of getting one. My brother started watching some programmes called Miami Ink and LA Ink and I did too and now I love them! I think Kat Von D is such a good tattoo artist and if I ever get a tattoo, I would loveee it if she did mine! If I do get one, I would like one on my wrist like in the picture. It says strength in Punjabi and I did that with black henna.

Newbie!

Not gonna lie, I've always been interested in writing (don't judge me lol) and one of my dream jobs would be to be a journalist but I'm definitely not confident enough to do that! A couple of my friends have got blogs and I really like reading what they've written because it’s so interesting! So I've decided to get one too, keeping me distracted from my biology homework...

Most of the blogs I've seen recently are quite fashion based, I will try and write about the small clothing collection I own and things that I buy after shopping trips but don't be surprised to see the odd car/football/rant about anything post!
